With the abundance of the info in the internet nowadays, it so easy to opt for a do-it-yourself tour. But if you are the type of traveller who don't like to spend time navigating on your own and want insights from the local just like us, you would still probably book through a trusted travel agency.

 



What is unique about the Our Restless Feet Travel and Tours is that the owners themselves are young and well-traveled married couple... meet Charlie and Paula (Peralejo) Fernandez.

Well, if you think the wife looks familiar it is because she has grace Philippine TV Screen back in the 90s together with lot of budding teenagers saying "Nyeh!" every 4:30 pm in the afternoon with the show called Ang TV then later became one of the leads in our version of Dawson's Creek which was Tabing Ilog.

Fast forward today, the couple manages their travel agency from their home office in San Juan Manila. This is my 2nd time to get a quotation from them. The first was last year for HK while they were still putting up their agency's website however I decided to go with another offer from other agency. 

But this time, I kinda knew what to expect from their price range. My default budget is always Php 5,000/pax. Paula replied back on the same day regarding my inquiry providing price range between Php 6,000 to 6,500 per pax for the Kuala Lumpur Malaysia at a Glance package (accommodation and land arrangements only). Most offers I got for the same inquiry from others are for Half Day City Tour alone but from Our Restless Feet Paula, theirs already includes two -- City Tour and Countryside Tour which is around 4 hours each, perfect fit for Day 2.  So even though it was a thousand bucks over my original budget, I decided to take her offer. Besides, I booked as early as May for our December trip so by faith makakapag-ipon pa within the next 6-7 months.

The booking and payment transaction through bank deposit went smoothly. I got my Itinerary and Receipt via email and was all set just waiting for our 17th (12 yrs bf/gf + 5 yrs wedding) anniversary celebration in Malaysia.

Hubby was dropping hints that he wanted to buy a guitar for himself but considering that he just recently bought a mountain bike, he is still weighing in if he should buy one. But while channel surfing 2 weeks ago, I saw the RJ Guitar Center 1-Day Christmas Sale on Dec 7, 2013.

So, I thought it would be a great 16th (4th Wedding) Anniversary gift for him and we will be back from our HK-Macau trip by then. A day after of our actual anniversary, we checked out the RJ Guitar Center in Festival Mall Alabang right after my dentist appointment around 12nn, there were no customers yet for the 30% off deal. Hubby eyed for a couple of guitar designs and later when 6 o'clock pm came, he lined up like the rest of the customer and came home with his first choice with 50% off discount.

I turn another year older this month and thankfully, hubby granted my wish to another staycation here in the south area. I will have a full feature on the hotel in the following days. But for now here is a teaser of our overnight stay.

Nope I am no Twilight fan... I have no clue what is in the book. The first two movie, I saw only at home way later after it was shown but I do love this OST. For my ears, it is right up there with Train's Marry Me. If ever we do a renewal of vow of some sort and give out CD souvenirs again, I would probably include these two songs.

Happy listening...feeling some goosebumps already. Sigh!

Although I have been working at Makati for many years now and my former office building was just right across Ayala Triangle, it was only this year that I got to catch the magical Christmas Light Show. Although each set of the show would only last a few minutes or so but still can't help the feeling of excitement especially when we were under the lights and in the midst of the smoke effect.

Today, Jase and I celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary but more than that, this day also marks the 15 years that we have been together. Our relationship began as highschool sweetheart in 1997 then a dozen years after we got married in a simple but intimate ceremony in 2009. Today we can literally say that we have spent half of our lives together here on earth.

So how can one put into words those years...I simply can't. I can only say "Thank you Lord for being the center and third strand in our relationship. By your grace, you have allowed our love to grow towards each other. May Your Name be glorified through the testimony of our relationship."
