Here is the premise of the story: I am holding a transportation voucher from Philippine Airlines which I got from my last out of the country trip. I am ready to book it so I researched regarding their ticketing office. Naturally, I ended up on their website. The categories of the enlisted offices are not that clear but I eyed a couple of office:

Petron Payment Centers
Petron Filinvest Primera Clase Gas Station, Inc.
Commerce Ave., cor. Pacific Rim Ave.
Filinvest Alabang Muntinlupa City
Domestic Ticketing Agent
Velca Travel & Tours, Inc.
G/F Park Trade Center, 1716 Investment Drive,
Alabang, Muntinlupa City
The one in Petron is a bit out of the way since no public transporation pass by it regularly so I asked hubby to accompany me on Saturday. But since Velca is on the way, I planned to swing by in the morning before going to the office to check if I could do the transaction there. To get more info though, I decided to tweet @flyPAL account to inquire.

I must say the account is quite responsive BUT... oh, I'll just let you read through our conversation and let you be the judge.

So whatcha think? Hihihi.... Well I do also work in client support team to provide technical assistance and there are days that this kinda happens. It is just funny when you're in the other side of the fence. Anyhow, I'll just update you what happens to the voucher on Saturday.

Update: 21 July 2013

I am happy to report to everyone that despite the mix-up with twitter, my transaction with PAL ticketing office in Petron Filinvest Alabang is a success! I was able to book my flight in 30 minutes. Hoooray!!!

Ang nawawalang PAL Ticketing Office...natagpuan din!

I am not really into spicy or hot food. I have low tolerance to pain so in my head, eating spicy food is quite painful. But I do love my cheeseburger...

But one time we were in McDonald's Drive Thru, I got just a tad curious with their latest addition in their menu -- the McSpicy Chicken so I gave it a try.

Uy, cute bun -- may split pa sa gitna. Hihihi. From the taste of it, this is just the right amount of spice! Price is a bit lower than their McChicken Sandwich. For Ala Carte Php 80, Small Meal Php 115 and Medium Meal for Php 135.

After being in Instagram for more than a year, you can pretty much track my chocolate addiction. It is both a pleasure and a curse to be a chocoholic... Sigh! You see I am not so good with moderation, so either I stay away from it completely or I gorge on the whole pack in one sitting.

Not in photo - Milo drink, Goldilocks Cake, Hot Fudge Sundae, Fudgee bar, Dunkin and Krispy Kreme Donuts, Zagu Black Forest, Selecta Rocky Road, Chips Ahoy, M&M, Hersey Kisses, Cadbury, Toblerone, Macademia and lastly Champorado. I think I really need some help NOW!!!
So I already shared to you the fun that we had in our staycation at Acacia Hotel in Alabang. For this post, let me just give you a quick tour inside their De Luxe King Room. During my booking with the Reservation Officer, I mentioned that I prefer early check-in. They agreed as long as the room is already available upon our arrival. So we were already ushered to the room at 12nn instead of the usual 2pm. That's a couple of extra hours for us to enjoy.

Having a floor area of 34 square meters, the layout of the room is pretty much typical to most of the hotel De Luxe rooms, see here for comparison. But it is always fun to observe how they maximize space to give comfort to their guest.

Upon entering the door, you have the closet on your left then to your right are key card slot to power up the room and the bathroom. A few steps further and the bed gives you an inviting greeting "welcome to your home for the night, snuggle up here".

.
You have your 40” LCD TV hooked up to Sky Cable. Complimentary in room coffee and tea. They also bring in Welcome Fruits and Drinks. Inside the cabinet is a fully stocked mini bar and refrigerator containing drinks in can and some chocolates.

At the top of the full size executive desk is where we found their in room service menu (Meal ranges from Php 300 up) and other information regarding the hotel. The desk lamp was so sleek I want one in our house hehehe. Mounted also in the wall is that black thingamajig (at the bottom of the mirror) where you can connect your gadgets and link output to the TV. Anyway, those techie would know what I am talking about. Moving along... For the telephone, you have that at bed side and another one in the bathroom.

The hotel offers free WiFi within the hotel's vicinity. You just need to key in your room number and surname (case sensitive). But the signal in the pool area is a bit weak so enable your 3G if you're in this spot and still wants to be connected.

Inside the closet you have your wooden hangers, bedroom slippers, a laundry bag, safety box and torch light for emergency. Hubby actually used the iron and ironing board in the morning to iron his shorts because he just packed it straight from the sampayan. Hahaha. I did not see any bathrobes though.

Let us not forget the bathroom, so without further adieu...

That's pretty much it. Like I said in previous post, we were able to get a feel all of these 36% off through Deal Grocer. Here is a sample computation of publish rate vs. voucher rate at Php 3,500.

Work load has been kinda crazzzeeehhh!!! It has been taking a toll on me that I got sick for 2 weeks. Although I got to stay at home for most of those days, my body was in recuperating mode but my mind was still left on the tasks I have in my queue so that still didn't count as rest.

So for our 187th monthsary (12 years b/gf + 3 years and 8 months married) this weekend, I booked us an overnight stay at the nearby Acacia Hotel Manila . Literally, it was just 10-minutes away from our place here in Alabang Gilid. Hahahaha! I believe we gave justice to the word -- STAYCATION since we really enjoyed the hotel's amenities. We stayed cozy and warm in the king-sized bed inside our Deluxe Room. I'll be blogging more about Acacia Hotel Manila - Alabang  in the following days but for now take a peek on our couples time there.

After getting a long phone call from MIL (Mother-in-Law) regarding home stuff, I quickly changed to my hotel pambahay and snuck in between the sheets. Soon after I already doze off to dreamland. Zzzzz....

We ran some errands in the morning before checking in at the hotel so we had time to grab some baon of our choice from the grocery. I was looking for a bubble bath but I couldn't find one so I just bought this Camay Shower Gel in Romantique Rose Scent. I'll spare you from seeing me in the tub because I am pretty sure you do not want to see that but here's my Orly Gel FXed toe nails. Hihihi.

Late in the afternoon we headed to the swimming pool located at the 3rd floor but right before you get there is the garden. So we stopped by for a moment to get some few snapshot since it is overlooking hubby's engineering office.

There were a lot of families enjoying the pool but when the evening came we had the pool all to ourselves that we ended up bonding with the life guard on duty, Joupert. He prepared ice tea for us, complimentary drink in the pool. We also tried out the Jacuzzi which was a few steps away.

The lights in the pool were changing so here is hubby doing his Hulk impression with the green light under water. Bwahahaha!!!

After having dinner outside, we called it a night. On our last day, we headed at the Coffee Shop to have our buffet breakfast. I surprisingly enjoyed the pool so much I decided to take another dip after our breaky. Last few hours were spent sleeping in the room while hubby watches live telecast of UFC where Mark Munoz won.

All of that unwinding, thanks to the the voucher we got from their private sale offering at DealGrocer.com
